The puzzle pieces came together taped onto a large acrylic painting of waves. I played with that idea, and all the talk of covid waves of infection which then drive the lockdowns and stay home orders.

I dug back into the wave studies I’d done in 2020 when I was off grid at the cabin.

Each individual painting was expertly captured by Smokestack Studios, and the resulting digitals constructed into Reconstruction I. I added the waves as a layer and push – pulled the painted images so they were in conversation with the water.

Reconstruction I, Comes in waves is a 1/4 sized limited edition archival inkjet print on Hannemule Hemp paper. This print is mounted on 3mm alupanel with a natural walnut frame and AGUV glass for the Conversation Pieces Apartment Pop Up Show in July 2021
