$1,449.00

Back to the original rose coloured paper from the silver sheet as lockdown two is lifted and conversation becomes possible. For the first time I draw more than one cup, and a tray. Imagining a gathering, a rich conversation over coffee about all that has changed and where we go from here.

The back of the cookie fortune has instructions to learn the Chinese word for ‘soap’… all these things – fortune, Chinese, and soap – are parts of the covid-19 conversation.

March 2021 / Second lockdown is over. Now that we’re free I want to set up curated conversations with people whose lives and identity have been turned upside down by the effects of this pandemic. University students in International Studies who graduated on a screen after five years, musicians whose entire world was playing live and touring, dancers, actors and theatre workers…

For the first time I draw more than one cup, and a tray, anticipating a gathering of people, a rich conversation over coffee about all that has changed, and where we go from here.
